San Francisco is one of the two cities featured in Midtown Madness 2, alongside London. It is the only city to be featured in the demo/trial version of the same game.

San Francisco is the second largest city in the US state of California. It was founded in 1776 and has grown to have its own county and house four million people.

Location in Midtown Madness 2[edit | edit source]

The San Francisco city depicted in Midtown Madness 2 is a simplified version of the area between the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. There are multiple boroughs in this area, but key locations are Embarcadero, Presidio, Fisherman's Wharf, Civic Center, Financial District, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill, Fort Mason, and Pacific Heights. Alcatraz Island is visible from across the bay, but it is not accessible without the use of fan-made mods.

  • Oddly, in the game files of earlier beta versions of Midnight Club: Street Racing instead of Midtown Madness 2, there is a leftover texture in the first Midtown Madness installment's UI style that mentions San Francisco. It was likely planned originally as an add-on for the original Midtown Madness.[1]
