The Heads-Up Display is a tool that appears in the bottom left corner of the screen along with a steering gauge to measure the speed, engine RPM, transmission position, and the amount of damage the vehicle has taken.
Components[]
- Tachometer - Displays engine RPM (Revolutions per minute).
- Speedometer - Displays vehicle speed in MPH (Miles Per Hour).
- Damage Gauge - Monitors Vehicle Condition (out of 10).
- Transmission Position Indicator - Shows the current gearbox position for the car you're driving (e.g: D for Drive, P for Park, N for Neutral)
- Damage Light - Red light flashes when vehicle maintains heavily damage from the race. In Midtown Madness 2, this feature was replaced by a damage meter.
- Steering Bar - Shows the position of the turned wheels (turns along with game controller)
